caltracs and rubber bushings
« on: April 16, 2013 - 10:31:31 PM »
i'm about to install a set of caltracs due to to much pinion movement and things are rubbing. i'm thinking of keeping the stock rubber bushings in the spring eye instead of the supplied aluminum ones. is there anything wrong with useing the rubber ones ? this is a street car/ cruiser. thanks in advance.

No problem at all.
Burnouts are cool but Traction is the Action

I installed Cal-Tracs with the aluminum bushing on my 74 Cuda that is driven/raced quite frequently. I really didn't notice much of a different in ride quality.  I even drive it 2.5 hours from my house in Kentucky to the Mopar Nationals last August, with two passengers. We were surprised at how well it rode (we expected a rough ride).
