Need 1973 Cuda Grille
« on: April 19, 2013 - 08:32:58 PM »
Hello. I am restoring a 1973 'Cuda, and I recently saw the grille. I need a new grille because mine is cracked on both sides around the head lamp bezels. does not need to be painted, just a good solid grille. Thanks!

Location? My understanding is these grill are pretty difficult to ship, most people do in person / pick up only...

Cracked grilles can be fixed pretty easily.

How bad is yours? Can you show us?

I recently repaired my grille. It had a few chipped areas and some cracks.
A few weeks ago, I had to repair a broken plastic lower dash A/C trim.
Both came out great.

Moparclown has done numerous grille repairs.
I'm new at it but I can say now, it's not that hard to do.

I live in the western part of Massachusettes (southwick), but i would be willing to have it shipped if necessary.

I dont have a picture, but it is broken off on both ends where the head light bezels attach. The previous owner hit something, and cracked it. They JB welded it, and it wasn't a very good job.

Any tips on trying to fix it?

Quite a few members here have repaired their own grilles. Sure some here will chime in.

I used ACE Hardware plastic 2 part epoxy. It dries fast so you can actually hold 2 parts together and gently blow on them till they cease up. Worked good.
