What color
« on: March 14, 2005 - 11:51:50 AM »
What color is the front and rear bumper filler peice suppose to be on a 73 barracuda.  The one I have it old and grimey and most of the paint seems to be off it.  Here is a pic of the peice I found.

Thanks,

I'm almost 100% positive they came from the factory as a textured grey/silver.  My '73 Challenger had them when I first purchased it and they were a silverish color.  If you plan on using them again, I'd say paint them to match the surrounding area.  Black on the rear and silver up front to blend in with the grille. :dontknow:

Thanks for the help guys.  I will be painting the car black so I guess it will be silver for the front to match the grill and black for the back ones.

I was looking at an old Mopar Muscle and there is a 74 yellow cuda that did very well at the mopar nats.  It was in the July 2003 issue.  There is a pic of it where you can see the three peice filler set for the rear bumper and it is painted argent silver.  Don't know what I will do now because that might look strange standing out on a black car.  Also does anybody have a pic of the filler peice between the grill and the bumper just so I can see how that looks.
