« on: May 11, 2013 - 01:05:15 AM »
I have the complete Go Wing Assembly for a 70 Challenger for the top side of the trunk lid, but nothing for the bottom side.

For the bottom side, is this what I need?

-Go Wing Inner Stud Mounting Nut. (Quantity - 4)

-Go Wing Adjusting Nut Set. (Quantity - 4)

-Go Wing Deck Mounting Plates (Pair)

-Threaded Rods (4) Does anyone sell these or do you just make it. What thread size for the threaded rod and Lengths?

2 of these:

And 4 threaded rods.

Anything else needed? Thanks!

I am posting some pics I snapped for another member here, when this same question popped up several months ago.

1st pic and last pics are intended to determine whether the wing I have is, indeed, the same as yours.

Sure hope they help (Lord knows I depend HEAVILY on the bros and sisters here, all the time, for solid help and guidance -- Thank Y'all!   :ylsuper:

Oops, forgot to add 2 things:

1) the wing pictured was installed by my car's previous owner so, I am not sure about the answers to your spec / thread questions (not trying to be 'obtuse' mind you); and,

2) NOTE: the car's previous owner is a machinist by trade and I will never forget him telling me that, had he followed the directions included, "to the letter" that the wing would have wound up 3 to 5/8" off center.

I just remember him saying over and over how thankful he was that he had trusted his own abilities to measure twice in order to drill metal just once, over whatever directions came with the wing.

(And, I also remember me thinking at the same time, "Geez, if he hadn't already installed this wing, I wonder who a big chicken like me would get to do it?"   :-[

Thanks for the replies. My Go Wing is thicker than yours and it tapers downward on both ends, otherwise everything else is the same.

So is this what I need?

What thread size and length are they?

RT, arghhhhh!   My car is in storage a fair piece from where I am typing this so, I can't answer the rod length / thread questions, sorry.
