'70 CHALLENGER CONVERTIBLE FRONT SHOULDER BELT LENGTH
« on: May 04, 2013 - 04:37:18 PM »
Does anyone know the length of the front shoulder belts for a 1970 Challenger or the part numbers?  And convertible owners can check theirs?  Thanks

To my knowledge, there are no shoulder belts for convertibles.

In my 1970 challenger, dart service manual, (the yellow book) on page 23-61 figure 26,  it shows front shoulder belts for a convertible attached at the outer end of the rear seat where the rear seat belts are bolted down. They go from there to the front seats.  Very unconventional.

My '70 Barracuda 'vert doesn't have them either but I think they were an option. Just throwing this out. I have a copy of Field Bulletin No. FB-DD for 1970 Barracuda models. The 'vert shoulder belt shows up as C13, I imagine this would be the same for Challengers.

That's what I thought optional equipment.  My 70 is burnt orange with burnt orange interior but the seat belts are black no shoulder belts.
The  front shoulder belts for a convertible attached at the outer end of the rear seat where the rear seat belts are bolted down, next to the wheel house.

Thanks for all the help. :2thumbs:
