Definitely a good thread.  I'm still weighing a 512 Stroker Six Pack motor vs probably a 528 stroker Hemi.  Seems like you can spend almost as much on the stroker RBs, but its nice that you don't have to.  The cheapest hemis aren't cheap, but if its something I want it seems like it never is!  Decisions, decisions....

It's all the little stuff along with the engine itself that puts you deep into your wallet...if you want it to be like they were back then.

Even then there's alot to get.
Once you get the long block done, you'll soon discover that to finish it, will be more than you anticipated.

I've picked up a some of the 'extra' stuff w/o even having a motor yet.  I've got the 2x4 intake, air cleaner, valve covers, another k member to get converted to a Hemi version, a few other bits & pieces.  Like you're saying, I want it to look 70's 'correct' but more HP/TQ under the covers.  If resale mattered I'd do the Hemi, but I plan on passing the Roadrunner down to the kids so its more a matter of whether its worth waiting longer to finish the car if a hemi costs a bunch more than the 440.  I bookmarked your thread and will read it all soon, thanks.
