Looking for AC help
« on: June 27, 2013 - 08:41:25 PM »
I am looking for some AC help.  I have a 70 Barracuda with factory air.  I have all parts, but need new hoses.  Can I get a set made, but leave the Dryers out of the 2 larger hoses without any problems??

You have to have a filter dryer in the system. A good hose builder will be able to build a hose
with a filter dryer in place. But I'm sure it will be necessary to use a new one.
If I cant fix it, it's broke

These folks may be able to help.  They not only sell A/C parts but restore as well.

CudaFreddy, you mention dryers in the hoses, if those are the canister looking things that are part of the hose ,I believe those are mufflers to eliminate some of the compressor noise or balance the pulses from the compressor pistons,  I don't know what effect it would have to eliminate those. The dryer should be mounted on the inside fender panel drivers side.
