Change left hand thread lugs to right hand ?

On the rear wheel......... Can the lugs be switched out without pulling the axle ?

Previous owner had front disk brake hubs switched during a rebuild leaving only the left rear with LH thread.

The proper way is to pull the axle and use a press. Beating them out could warp the axle flange

Just did mine, pull the axle take it to a machine shop have them pressed out or do it yourself if you have a press.

I agree with the previous comments.  Axel must be removed and front hub as well if changing both front and rear.  A press works best but a large vise or large c clamp will work as well.

Don't toss the studs.  They aren't available any more....even from a parts store.

I took mine out with a hammer with the axles installed.  I didn't have to wail on them, just one or two medium blows and out they come.  Installed new ones with washers and nut and impact gun to draw them trough.  The hole  in the flange is there for this purpose.  If yours are galled in there then pull axle.

:iagree: I've been doing it that way for years, just did a set a week ago, never had an issue. They come out pretty easy  :2cents:
