Anyone running 245/45-17's on the front???
« on: May 10, 2013 - 10:56:19 PM »
Anyone out there running a nitto 245/45-17 tire on the front of their ebody? I have a 17x8 rim with 6mm offset. Seems pretty tight to me and Im scared its gonna rub over bumps and especially while turning.
Thinking about downsizing to a 225 or 215, not sure if it will solve my problem completely, but it should help.
I also have wilwood 12" disc brake kit, not sure if that moves the wheel assy out compared to the stock wheel mount position......looking for more ideas to help me solve this issue......wheel i have only comes in one offset, and i really wanna make it work.

A +6mm offset equates to a 4.75" backspace. I think you should be fine. But as has been often stated on this forum, all these cars are a bit different. YMMV
I have 255/40/17 nitto's on the front with 5" backspace.

I have that exact size tire on the front with 4½" backspace, I did have to turn the torsion bars up about ¼" because the right front was rubbing on a full lock turn.
