How do you adjust the stops for the gears on a 4 speed? When I downshift from 3rd to 2nd, it grinds some like it went to far? All help is appreciated!

I let the trans find center , the lever will go so far & sit then maybe leave 1/8" clearance more .

Tearing this apart this week to install a new throw out bearing . . . want this to run this summer. Engine is good for now as it seems to be doing well with the 950 on it! Haven't touched the convertible yet but it needs work as well.
