As much as I would like to trust my gauges, I don't. Whats the latest/greatest gauges oil pressure and water temp for a '70 383 ? I will be mounting them under the radio most likely.

:iagree:  Can't go wrong with Autometer. Good selection of styles too.
If I cant fix it, it's broke

I would like to do a study on this , Autometer is definatly the most available & seems to be the top dog but I have had problems with them , Stewart Warner , VDO , Smiths all come to mind but are they better ? , I know in the 60s SW was the best you could buy , or so it seemed .
Any opinions ?

I have a triple gage set by RAC.....unused from the early '70s.  I was just looking at them last week.  Not sure how accurate they are.   I also remember SUN gages.

VDO come standard in any number of European performance cars.

Autometer has a wide selection of faces, font, lighting and guage types.

Redline can modify original guages to look different, and use modern controls for improved accuracy.

Speedhut probably has the most extensive line of custom set ups at reasonable pricing and can build a gauge in almost any manner or appearance you can think of and come in 5 different size options.

In one of my other muscle cars,  I have a Sun Water Temp Gauge, Sun Oil Pressure Gauge, and an Autometer Tach
that have been in there and functioned perfectly since 1980. I guess 33 years....
