Please do not poll if your car was 72' or later.

It seems that very few Cuda's and  Challengers in 1970 to 1971 came with the 5 speaker AM/FM Multiplex Stereo system.

I have seen very few like this equipped.

I discussed this with a few older Moparites and they all felt that it was a simpler time then and AM radio was still the dominant listening back then.

Because of that; I wanted to find out how many of you out there have an OEM 70'-71' 5 speaker AM/FM E Body on your build sheet/tag.

My current 70 'Cuda does not have that option, but my original '70 Cuda that I factory ordered in Oct of '69 did.
1970 Plymouth 'Cuda.  Matching numbers 440 U Code, 4 speed pistol grip, Rallye dash, AM 8 Track, Shaker hood, 15 inch rallye wheels, Dana 60 4.10, Super Track Pak.  One of 134 - 440 "U" coupes codes built in 1970 and one of 100 - 440 Super Track Paks built in 1970.

"usraptr" = United States raptor - bird of prey = United States Bald Eagle.  FYI, somebody else thought of it first so I had to drop the "O" in raptor.

My car came with the AM/FM thumbwheel radio and 5 speaker option. R35 on fender tag---R35, R32 on build sheet. Pulled it and all wiring out and put in a nice Kenwwod unit. Kept all the original stuff tho. Maybe it's worth something now????

In 72' I started beginning to listen to FM.
And I feel it's right about then it really began to get caught on by the public.

My favorite station then was KOME 98.5.

Also around 72' was when aftermarket stereo began showing up.
Pioneer was one of the first ones I believe that went major.

Owners checking off their special orders before then; probably had no idea what benefits FM radio offered.
