Picture needed Rubber flooring
« on: May 02, 2014 - 02:30:56 AM »
Option A93      Known as the deputy model.

Anyone have a picture of the rubber flooring offered with this option instead of carpet?

Anyone have a floor kit for sale?

Just building the strangest looking cuda ever.

Seriously though, My 77 Ramcharger 440 had  a rubber carpet when it was born.
I've never found another to replace it.

So, I really like the rubber flooring as it doesn't get truly dirty.

That being said, I'd love to buy one of these rubber floors, but I have never even really heard of it before.

Well, didn't pay attention to what I had read about my a93 option.

Well Alan, I can't provide a photo or give you a chance to see it with your own eyes, but I can tell you my old A93 71 Challenger had it... Wish I'd known how rare that car was, I wouldn't have sent it to the scrap yard if I did... But it provided parts for quite a few other cars to live on....

What These aren't factory?   :poopoke:

Sorry couldn't resest.  I have seen them as well.  A friend in High School had a 70 Challanger Deputy and it had rubber floors.  Never really thought about it, but at that time a lot of cars had rubber floor mats.

I don't know what exact car we're talking about but the 1970 Dodge Challenger Deputy model specific brochure does list carpeting as part of the specs. Of course that doesn't cover the 1971s, or the Cudas.

Personally I've never seen one with a rubber floor either.

I'm not saying they don't exist....but 30 years have gone by and I've yet to see one... :-[

A93 70-71 B & E body coupe package

Sure would love to see one.

There has to be an nos one out there somewhere.

I'm surprised Kissalien has not seen one.  Same for Alan.  Very surprised.  Figured you guys would have at least seen them.

We have rubber floor coverings on our early Valiants here in Australia, they were very common in fact. Mostly available in commercial style vehicles like Ute's and base model sedans and wagons, right up until 1976 i think. Would be different to see one in an E-body :grinyes:

I've seen dozens of A93 cars. Never one with rubber flooring. ALL factory documentation I have shows carpeting is standard. Same with all the ads from back then. Would love to see one with documentation.
