can't get drivers door open

Closed my drivers side door and now the locking mechanism won't release.
I have the interior apart and can get a screwdriver in there to move the 2 release levers all the way, but it still won't release the inner latch.
Any ideas ?

By the way It's a convertible and I tried jacking the car up at different angles.
Is it possible that the lock broke inside ?

Thanks, it was the brass anti rattle piece. The door wedge went past it.
