528 Hemi questions
« on: July 04, 2013 - 03:42:28 AM »
I looking at my options to put a 528 Hemi in my 71 340 Cuda, maybe this one.. http://raybarton.com/parts/index.php/engines/street-engines/528-street-hemi-2x4-dual-plane-650hp.html
Will the shaker be in the correct location if I use Schumacher Engine mounts with my 340 k-frame? (I have seen clone Heimi cars with the shaker bubble sitting to low but maybe they use other mounts?). Also,I have a original shaker setup on the car, will a original Hemi shaker baseplate be correct for the Edelbrock 600cfm carburetors?
I Think I will buy a complete exhaust system with headers from TTI.
What do you guys Think?

Thanks
Karl

The thing with putting another engine in your car is that any mount that you buy will have the same engine position that any other, the reason being is that the gearbox mount never changes and the gearbox mounts in its original position and the engine bolts on to that said gearbox or transmission as factory and everyone who makes mounts know not to move the engine as it would change to many things for location and be unusable, so i say go for the HEMI and you will be one happy boy :2thumbs:
