Cuda rear bumper

I wanted to leave out the bumper filler and bring it closer to the body like 70-71.  Do I just need to get the older brackets or will I need replace the bumper to?  I might try a little surgery on the old brackets if I have to.

I'm trying to do this as well. From what I've seen others post on here, you also need a 70-72 bumper because the bolt hole placements are different.
