Replacing Vertical Quarter Window Seals and main Drop Rail Seals

Anyone done this yet? I'm planning on having some body work done at a local shop but I want to know if it would make more sense to have them do it or simply do it myself.

I'm just starting this myself.  I'm still trying to remember how the quarter glass and mechanism is installed.  Is anyone reproducing the stainless piece that goes on the front part of the rear quarter window that forms the seal with the door window?  Thanks
