2013 Autocross presented by Hotchkiss Suspension
« on: July 15, 2013 - 10:48:13 AM »
As mentioned in Brad's post, there was a small autocross track at the fairgrounds this year.  It was there last year, but attendees were only able to "ride along" with Hotchkiss drivers.  This year however, Carlisle Events SOMEHOW got permission to let showfield participants drive their own cars.  It wasn't long before a familiar black Viper arrived at the scene...

And if static images aren't enough excitement for ya, here's some video!

It may not seem very quick from up-top, so Oh10Challenger - aka "ViperWife" hopped in for a wild ride.

At the end of Friday, I had the third-fastest overall time.  By Saturday, a few other cars had taken the lead, and I ended up second in the "Modern Muscle" class, beat out by an SRT8 Challenger.

It was definitely a lot of fun.  Congrats again to Brad for winning the E-body class - he took 1st, 2nd, AND 3rd place!   :roflsmiley:

Looks like it was a blast. I won`t be any match for a Viper but hopefully next year I`ll be some competition for Brad in the E-body class.

IDK but not good I'm sure as in all types of racing tires are everything and mine didn't lend well to autocross. As soon as they got hot...... they sucked! Brakes worked better when they were hot though!
It's not as easy as it looks, takes some practice. Looks slow watching it but when your behind the wheel....you are busy! One of the fastest cars I noticed was a slant 6 dart!

That dart was fast.
You also gotta watch out for that left turn and not brake too late...

Hmm, a very left hand oriented track. No wonder Brad did good!
