Croch and Burdar,
Well I think after looking at both trannies yours and mine, I might have to throw on my back-up beepers and eat this one. Both trannies have angles on the left side of the pan, the main difference in the pans are on the right side which we can't see very well in the pictures. But now I am looking at the way the center body makes the transition to the bell housing. I do not think the 727's had the rib on there in the front with an immediate transition. The 727's are more gradual and smooth. And the center body on the 727 seems more fat.
One thing about it that makes me feel really good about this is that earlier this summer I traded a 727 tranny that needed rebuilt (wanted the console real bad) for a 1973 auto floor shift console complete with shifter and all linkage. And I wondered if I got a good deal!!!?
Sounds like I did.
Still want the tranny though Croch.
Burdar we have lots of corn in indiana also, its all good.
