new wheels for the 65 need opinions

ok guys i had these real dayton knock offs that i had on my sunbird left over from when i got rid of the car.Since they cost me 1800 bucks with out tires i figured i would use them keep in mind that the car's body still looks rough.They don't hit at all even when the back is compressed and it turns no problem up front.Let me know what you guys think, i know some guys don't like wire wheels but i think it looks mean with the tires actually filling the wheel wells.Oh ya the front looks funny cuz the engine is out and i plan to make it sit a bit lower.

I don`t think they really fit the car,would look better on a lowrider toyoda.

Personally, I don't care for wire wheels much at all.  What you have to remember is the fact that it is YOUR car and you need to have it look they way YOU like it and the way YOU want it to look!

I'm not one for wire wheels BUT! I do see where your going. It won't look silly but it "just" doesn't suit the car, as stated above it's more Impala lowrider stuff. I'dsearch eBay for a nic set of rallye rims or even some Crager SS wheels.

Personally, I was thinking of that Cucaracha song and a '63 "P"Impala convert.  It's your car though as April pointed out, so do what suits your desire.  I'm more for the nostalgic look when it comes to rims.  Keystone Classsics and Torque Thrusts for example would look great on that car. :thumbs:

thanks for the input guys(and girls) that is what i wanted was honest opinions.I like wire wheels personally but i am curious to see what it looks like with the back fenders finished and the front end lowered more with the engine in it.

Scotty, you'll need to realize, as they say, the"old school" Mopar was basically a plane Jane in your face street b!tch, they sold cheap and ran like hell, and because of what she could do because of brute power she didn't need any jazzy thrill items like wire wheels. Today we want our Mopars to look like they were and let the horses speak for themselves. I'm not saying you shouldn't put those rims on YOUR car if you want to,obviously me personally I wouldn't. Not that they aren't nice rims, it's just they don't fit the car or it's storied history, but hey, I'm and old fart and this is 2005 not 1960.  :patriot:  :thumbs:
