govervor rubbing tailshaft
« on: July 06, 2013 - 05:04:24 PM »
i had a local tranny shop built me a 46rh. he used a 518 bellhousing but 618 internals and tailshaft. problem he's having is he didn't realize that the 618 tailshaft is smaller diameter inside and the governor is hitting the case. does this make sense, is there a fix or do i need to find a 518 tailshaft?

Never heard or seen of such a thing. There should be no difference in the housings.
