71 challenger front bumpers
« on: July 27, 2013 - 09:04:06 PM »
I see front bumpers with the rubber bump guards on some 71 challengers ,were there two styles or did they just add the bumpers to the 70-71 style bumpers?

Front bumper guards were an extra cost option. When ordered you also got rubber strips on the rear guards..

so the front bumper was the same?     if you want to add it to the standard bumper  can you ?  or do you need a different bumper all together ?

All Challenger bumpers can accept bumper guards. There should be a chrome plug covering the hole if your bumper doesn't have the guards.

Yes the bumpers are the same. The guards bolt on using the inside existing bumper mounting bolt ...through the bumper mounting brackets.
