Is it too small?
« on: July 29, 2013 - 10:57:14 PM »
Nooo! My torque converter, Hughes street master 2400-2600 won't let me get any rpm's up from a stop. It seems bound up and just rolls out from a stop. Revs fast from a rolling start but feels like the brakes are still on when trying to launch(brakes are free). Built 340/727 355 gear/26" tires Erson cam. I don't know much about stall converters, but it seems to me that could be the problem. Any help would be appreciated!

the idea of a stall converter is to allow the engine speed to flash up fast seemingly without any load to a given Rpm before lcoking up & appling the load so I agree it sounds like the converter has a problem

Thanks! I believe I have eliminated everything else, sounds like I'm buying another converter. Thanks again
