Brake line routing on master cyclinder: Is it right?
« on: August 10, 2013 - 11:35:50 PM »
Installed  the brake lines today.

I would like to know if what I did looks correct or not.
Look at the diagram I had with the re built proportioning valve.

O.K.  Thanks

The fittings can only go on the Master cylinder one way.
Yet the instructions seemed kind of confusing.

the line closest to the pedal is front brakes & should split into 2 lines out to the front wheels which that does , the rear line is the forward line at the master away from the pedal & is one in & one out .

When I was installing I was thinking the rear drum side was the big resivior side and disc was the smaller.
In retrospect, front disc pistons go down faster when wearing and the pistons hold alot of fluid.

Tom, I bought them from Fine Lines. The lines are pre bent fairly close.
Bendix lines are longer than the other power brake systems found on other Mopars.

Installation looks good ! One thing to remember...the larger chamber is always going to be the front brakes....

I remember back when we were kids....I buddy hooked Line-LocK up to his  brakes one afternoon.
Went out to do a big smokey burnout....we all watched as he fried his clutch....sat there thinking he was turning the back wheels when he actually was locking the brakes on them......Man did we laugh at him...
I've taught you everything you know.....but I haven't taught you everything I know !

I have seen the line lock used in the rear line but you have to use it backwards & lock the rear brakes off harder to do with an 4 spd !!

Thank you Mike,
I'm going to check them out. I am needing everything from the firewall to the wheels.
