Wipers don't park, just stop.
« on: August 02, 2013 - 06:14:12 PM »
I read in some old posts that this problem could be on the back side of the 3 speed wiper motor.
That's as far as the old post went. I'm trying to get the car to pass inspection so I can get it on the road and am not looking to have the motor restored just yet.
Does anyone with this problem have a solution so it will work properly for the time being?
Thanks

:iagree:  If the wiper motor works and just doesn't park, run a wire from the metal switch frame to ground.  Every E body I had has had this problem.  A screw that holds the bezel in place provides the factory ground and gets loose or missing.

Just solved my problem, just as you guys said, it was a bad ground to the switch.
I have a standard gauge set-up so I was able to pull out that part and put a separate ground wire from the top screw on the wiper switch to the dash.
I'm glad it was an easy fix, and didn't need to take 1/2 the dash apart.
Thanks for everyone's help.
