Eliminate Dodge
« on: August 07, 2013 - 09:33:41 PM »
Article in Motor Trend. Fiat-Chrysler.
Plans to bring Alfa back to the U.S., using Chrysler's existing dealer network to fast start sales.
Sources say a big problem is figuring out exactly where Alfa fits in Fiat-Chrysler's global brand of strategy.
One rumor suggests a study is underway to determine whether Dodge should be eliminated in favor of
Alfa.
Conspiracy theorists will no doubt note the Dodge name has already been dropped from pickup trucks and the new Viper,
killing it altogether in favor of the Alfa would take some serious cojones (balls)-even for Sergio Marchionne.

This is not a new rumor. I'm sure discussions about this have occurred. I think the next minivans will be Chrysler only so that is one less vehicle inder the Dodge marque.

Gilles said it is false.  Dodge is going to be slotted in the bottom of the lineup.  It is going to be Dodge ->Fiat -> Chrysler
