Thanks Brad.

The drag racing event last November was called off because of rain. The class I was entered in was a Hot Rod  one. It was added to the last meeting of the season which was couple of weeks ago. Fastest I ran was 15.7s . I had problems getting traction, old road tires and a open diff not helping. Had a lot of fun, everyone should try it.

The Roadrunner is coming on well, the panelguy has finished and i am starting to fill and prime. The AMD parts fitted great and the fabrication the panelguy did are excellent.

"usraptr" = United States raptor - bird of prey = United States Bald Eagle.  FYI, somebody else thought of it first so I had to drop the "O" in raptor.

Been a long time, spent most of my time on the BBody forum.

I finished the Roadrunner 2 weeks ago, 95% finished to be honest. I have been a slave to it for the last 4 months, wanted to attend an event here in NZ called the Beach Hop. Big 50's, 60's 70's 5 day car event in the North Island held in late March each year. Made it with hours to spare. Trip consisted of a 3hr ferry trip between islands and 1100 miles on the road. A very noisy A833 gearbox was our only issue.
The rebuild of the roadrunner is on the " Forbbodies Only" forum under NZ 70 RR in the resto section.

Need to spend some time with the challenger now, is so different to drive . The rr is manual everything.

Got both cars out for the annual Nelson car show in Feburary, had the RR on a car transporter as it was not legal. Was a great turnout of Mopars.

The challenger has done a couple of weddings. Always great to get paid to drive something you love. If only I could afford the gas and security guy ( to avoid scratches and dents) to use it as a daily drive.

Thanks for posting those great pics Tony!  The RR inside a ferry is not something you see everyday.  I sold my black '71 Challenger to a guy in NZ, he just got it about a month ago and is battling inspections/customs/fees.  PM if you want his email.

Thanks fellers, you can't beat a car trip in an old school muscle car.
I will keep an eye out on the NZmopar forum for your 71 challenger dfrazz.
