Hey I gotta a/c question I hooked up my a/c compresser today (put a belt on it) and the compresser turns freely nor smoke or noises but the cluth want engage is the cluth bad or do i need a new compresser?? thanks! :beer:

Check to make sure there is 12 volts at the compressor.
It might not be getting voltage to the clutch.
If it is low on charge it will not engage the clutch.
There is a low pres. switch on the dryer.

You could also run a jumper to it and see if it engages without the engine running, it should pull in each time you make contact with the wire. If not, may have a bad winding. Hope you get it going!
