clutch&p/plate and bellhousing recommedations

just wondering if anybody had any recommendations on a clutch&pressure plate and bellhousing to go in front of an 18 spline four speed for a 572 hemi?  just do not want any issues down the road.  thx bruce

on the 472 we have, we used the 10.95 McCloud clutch set up, but that is also with the 5 speed tremec.

You might want to talk to Bill at American Powertrain. I don't know if they can help you because they primarily deal with Tremecs.  They did some great work for me on flywheel, clutch, etc.  Since I have a 360 that is externally balanced it was really hard to find the right parts. Bill had their billet shop cut me a steel flywheel to solve my problem.

Added: If you decide to talk to him tell him I sent you and you want a good deal. He gave me some really good prices considering what they did for me.  And no, I don't get anything for sending him people. I think he just felt sorry for me because of my experience with another compay (nobody around here).

This is perfect timing on this subject for me as well.

I have a Hays 3 wide finger street & strip I used before on my 340.
Never had a problem with it. Had low miles on it. I put cosmoline on the face and stored it away.

Today I took it to a place that can test it they're still good.
He said "Yes" it's still good. Just clean it up and get a new disc.

My question is:
Hays vs. Mc Leod. Which is better and why?
Dump $350 for a new Mc Leod? Would it be that much difference or noticable?
Pros and cons is what I would like to hear about.

I will be running a Hays 3 finger clutch behind my 440-6.  Bought it from Direct Connection years ago.  Some day, maybe car will get done.
