Wheel and Tire Option Info
« on: September 07, 2013 - 05:35:26 PM »
Hello guys! I require info on wheel and tires combination options for 1970-74 'cudas. I need to prove what sizes where available for those cars back in seventies. Otherwise the inspector will just define the tire size for my car by himself, which usually results in some "tiny" wheels like 190/60R14 or something like that. Hope you have some advice.
Thanks!

I believe only six sizes were available on 1970-74 Cudas.

Standard size E78 X 14 on SB Barracuda, optional E70 X 14 and F78 X 14 standard on BB Barracudas, Standard size on Cuda F70 X 14, optional size for Cuda(except Hemicuda) was E60 X 15, Standard size on Hemicuda was F60 X 15.

Hi and thanks for the great library link!
I've heard of 7.35x14, E78x14, F70x14, E60x15, F60x15 and G60x15 so far and I'm trying to find sources capable to confirm that. Or some documentation telling what maximum wheel/tire size could be ordered for a 'cuda/Barracuda back in seventies.
Other question would be how the sizes can be converted to eurometric system to keep the correct appearence.

I've found the sizes listed in the owner Manual. Hope that's gonna be a sufficient evidence.
