1970 challenger roof skin
« on: September 30, 2013 - 10:31:23 PM »
Hi, restoring a 70 challenger vinyl top, pretty clean car but after removing glass there was rust inside rear window and windsheild lip all the way around. The windshield is mainly just bad on top, the shop is thinking a new roof skin would be the way to go to be able to blast the roof braces. Otherwise it would have to be patched in all the way around. I already am putting on one rear quarter and the filler panel below the rear window so those areas will be new metal. Basicly the price of labor patching will be the same as the price of the new roof skin+labor of install. Looking to make a decision soon so any advice would be great!!

Thanks!

Agreed. I installed the AMD Roof skin and it fit very well. Can't  say the same about the quarters, but the roof skin was very good.
