When we go out on the ocean, we really do our homework before we go so as this doesn't ever happen to us!!! Don't let his experience put doubt in your mind of going out there though.

BTW, he was rescued immediately. The water is at 56 degrees. You won't last more than a half hour at that
temperature.

Even if there was nobody there, I think they might have been able to swin to shore. They were pretty close. Way too close to the shore. Any clue if they salvaged the boat?

I'm sure they did, but I haven't seen any updates on it. The C.G. get called out there immediately whenever a boat goes down. A sail boat like that would most likely hold an air pocket when it's upsidedown in it to keep it a float.
