Exterior metal letters and stick ons

I have the rear panel Dodge letters that need to be attached. When i took these off 6 years ago, it seemed like they were held on by a little rubber hose piece on the backside. Is this correct or is there something else that is used/ I thought about getting some 3m double sided tape to stick these on with. Also where does the metal decal that say's Challenger attach? I have 2 of them and not sure where they go. I am thinking that they were somewhere on the back of the front fenders, near the doors and close to the body curve midway up.

72-4 used the plastic retainer below....I'm planning on using metal barrel nuts like hold on the hood callouts, about 0.15 ea at the hardware store, second pic

Those little doo-dads will hold the letters on okay? My letter inserts seem to be somewhat pointed.

As far as the script "challenger" emblems:  6 1/8" from top of fender to bottom of the "C" and 3 7/8" from the "V" of the back fender edge to the "C" of Challenger

I think it depends on what year your Challenger is. The later years had the emblem on the back fender above the side marker if I'm not mistaken.

My 74 was like this. I took mine off as they were just stuck on like stickers and not level.

Yeah, I don't know about all the years.  This is a '70 and the emblem has the pins, so I know this one's in the right place.

Thanks guys. I like it up on the front fenders, and that is where i am going to put them.
