70 bumpers
« on: October 29, 2013 - 02:06:10 PM »
I thought I read on here at one time that the bumpers on a 70 barracuda did not have the steel reenforcement plates inside the bumpers. Is this correct? Will the bumpers from a 73 cuda fit on a 70? what differences are there between the two?

if I remember correctly, 2 of 4 holes don`t match the brackets. They may have jack slots too.

I believe you need matching 70 brackets or drill your bumper to adapt to the bracket bolt location.

I think the reinforcement plate started on 73s. I removed mine and mounted without.

No they are not supposed to be there. They were indeed introduced in 1973 model year.
