wiper switch or wiper motor?
« on: November 04, 2013 - 08:39:10 PM »
ok, i have a 73 cuda with a 3 speed wiper switch at first i found the switch sparking internally took it apart and two contacts were rubbing fixed that. But before i fixed that i would turn the wipers on to any setting and they would only wipe at the low setting it seems like. then when i shut them off they just stop where they were and dont return to under the hood. And they never actually go underneath the hood ever. only if i push them in. I also have another wiper switch that came with the car when i got it put it in and still same thing....help a brother out...???

Seriously, if you contact Jim aka Slotts. He can point you in the right direction with everything you need, he is a straight shooter and garuantees all of his work, his variable switches are better than NOS for real, he replaces the internal core with a stainless steel core to avoid corrosion, his stuff is the best. We have had more than one member shop around on e-bay trying to go cheap and ended up spending money on the dud switch on e-bay and then buying the best they could get from Jim, i am not blowing smoke, his restorations are the best and he can show you video footage of your parts working before even sending them back.
Do yourself a favor, switch to JSR for a real turn on  Sorry about the pun, i am just having fun. His work really is all that.

:iagree: Once he has worked out the problem, Kim is who Jim uses for wiper motor restorations too anyway. But Jim can problem solve over the phone to work out his requirements first if the wiper motor may or maynot need restoration. :2thumbs:
