Interior Paint
« on: July 08, 2014 - 01:35:29 PM »
Getting ready to re-paint my dash frame and some plastic parts on the interior.  I.E. seat backs and center consul for my 1972 Challenger.  The exterior is F3 Green and the interior is Green.

Looking for suggestion on where to buy the paint for dash frame and plastic interior parts.  Want to match as close to original as possible.

Also, how does it work with the plastics?

Thanks for the info.

You need to make sure the plastic pieces are very clean.  When you think they are clean enough...clean some more.  You also need to use an adhesion promoter.  Paint doesn't like to stick to that kind of plastic.  I like SEM paints.  I've had very good luck with their Landau Black.  Since you need green, I'd go with Herb's Parts.  They have their own line of interior paints.  They have a large selection and everything is listed on their site.

Agree, sem comes in a three stage process. First is cleaner, next promoter and last is paint. As long as it's done correct it looks great. Not sure about colors but same process. Clean  clean clean
