72-74 cuda tail lamps

I am in the middle of restoring my tail lamp lens/housings on a 74 cuda.  the four round lights.  who knows the best way to take apart the taillamp lens from the housing.  Ill try and post a pic later.

I have been wanting to do that myself but haven't attempted it yet . . .  :dunno:

Did you get them apart?  I had a beat up spare one and its not easy to take apart without breaking some of the old brittle plastic.

when ever i figure how to post pics I will.  When you are taking the lenses apart from the housings it is very difficult.  I believe it is impossible without my highspeed procedure.  Take 1 mapgas torch/propane torch.  heat Utility knife blade and cut the sections off the housing where the lense tabs are.  after doing this, massage the lense out of housing without cracking.  I still havent finished polishing 40years of oxidation and some overspray off yet but I will post the whole resto.  I agree that :useless:
