1971 Challenger Convertible Drip Rail Sheet Metal Needed

Hey guys,

Not sure it’s called a drip rail but it makes sense to me to call it that.  Anyway in the pics of my 71 convertible (attached) you can see where I need to weld in some patches where the water sat on both sides of the convertible drip rail over the years.

Rather than fabricating the pieces I’m trying to see it anyone makes that drip rail or would anyone have an old cannibalized convertible that they may be able to cut me about 15” +/- worth.  It doesn’t have to be from that exact location.  It can be from anywhere and I will splice it in.  Let me know.  Thanks

Dave

I am pretty sure no company re-pops that piece.  It doesn't look to difficult to fabricate.

Somebody on here my have or now of a convertable that is being parted out.

Good luck with your search.

Problem is...That's a common place for E Body convertibles to rust out. There is a 98% chance that if someone has a convertible too far gone to the point that they're cutting it up...that area is going to be toast.

I agree, very easy piece to fabricate a patch :2cents:

Check out convertibleconversions.com Ken Hopperdeitzal out in Wisconsin fabricated alot of convertible stuff. If he doesnt have it start fabricating. Not many people are cutting up convertibles these days.

I figured I may have to fab something up but I thought I would ask and see what was out there.  Hopefully someone will have it.  Thanks

That channel is used on all Mopar Convertibles from the mid 60's till 72... Might even be used on the later K car/Lebaron stuff... FWIW when I did my Challenger & my Coronet I just fabbed a couple sections, pretty easy cuz it just needs to fit & hold drain water, no ones gonna see it when it's done..
