Energy Bushings?

A few months ago, I bought all the bushings I would need for my rebuild. Today I was ready for my leaf spring bushings, but the kit had only 2" main eye bushings and I needed the 1 1/2" bushings.
I just was wandering why these springs are this size? When ordering it says the 426's and 440's have this size(1 1/2") and if anyone has any of the 1 1/2" polyurethane bushings so I don't have to buy another whole kit. Thanks!

Mopar had two different sized leaf eyes. It is possible your springs got swapped out at sometime in its life, or when it was assembled they simply grabbed the next set available and put them on. I've noticed the larger eye springs tend to be on older, pre 70 cars, but nothing is an absolute with mopar.

Two options, take your 2" to a shop and have them turned down to 1.5, or pick up another set of 1.5" units.

How do they turn down a urethane bushing? What kind of shop does this, a machine shop?

anyone with a lathe should be able to trim them down in minutes

FWIW mine had the same issue so I took the problem ones back to the vendor and they swapped them for the correct ones. Just Suspension needs to work on this as it most likely happens a lot.

I have just run into the same thing with PST Polygraphite ones. they dont offer the 1 1/2" ones. Shouldn't be a problem to turn these too would there? Gotta go get a grease groove cut in my LCA pins any way, may as well hit him up for both.

same thing , poly graphite or poly urethane both can be trimmed down

I figured the impregnate graphite would not matter as far as turning it.
