I have a factory am fm 8track that actually works.....sort of. When a tape is in the unit it plays, but it has a vibration around the motor. When I turn the unit upside down, the noise stops. I have noticed that the armature of the motor has about 1/64 inch play in it. When the unit is playing and is right side up, I can push the armature up with a probe and the noise stops. So is there a fix for this, is it new motor time, or what?
I really don't want to mount it in the car upside down!
Suggestions?
