For Sale: 1971 Barracuda Gran Coupe rocker trim/molding
« on: November 20, 2013 - 10:10:01 PM »
Hey guys-

I've got a set of 1971 Barracuda Gran Coupe rocker moldings. One year only, and I've personally only ever seen one other set like this. This set isn't perfect, the anodizing would need to be redone if it were going on a show car. A few minor dings and scratches, nothing big. One side has a couple of extra holes drilled in it, probably because the trim clips weren't all that great. One side does still have two of the impossible to find trim clips still attached and not broken. Won't be enough to attach the rocker trim, but good enough for an example. I have high resolution pictures and can take more if needed, let me know.

Located in Sacramento, CA. More than happy to ship, buyer pays shipping fees.

Because I haven't seen a set, and Mike (Topcat) told me not to let them go for less than $500, I'm asking $500. I'll take reasonable offers too.

Pm or email me through the board. Thanks!  :2thumbs:

71 Gran Coupe rocker molding is very unique and hard to get, it is a real shame your rocker has got holes drilled in them. Good luck with the sale  I would guesstimate in the condition they are in would be closer to $400, that is in my opinion  :2thumbs:
They are a good looking rocker molding mounted on a 71 Gran Coupe too :clapping:

I might be interested in set. I have a set for my 1970 GP & one of them also has the extra holes(drivers side). Anyone know the difference between 70 & 71. I assumed the one with extra holes was off of a 71

They are 2 totally different animals, more 70 Gran Coupes made compared to 71 Gran Coupes, this is what makes parts hard to find for either 70 or 71 Gran Coupes, the 70 Gran Coupe has got 5 Large saw tooth shaped moldings running down the length of the molding, the 71 only has the 1 Large saw tooth and then a heap of little ribs running down the length of the molding. Have a look at what you have in case you have a set of 71 molding already for your 70 ? :2thumbs:

Yeah it took me awhile to even identify them, Topcat was able to help me there. I got them as part of a lot, so it wasn't something I bought for one of my cars. The one does have 4 extra holes drilled in it, the other one has one extra. The holes are small, wouldn't be a big deal to weld them up and re-anodize. It was tough to price them, I haven't seen any for sale at all so I appreciate the input. I'm happy to take offers, otherwise they'll go on eBay.

Anybody? Offers?

They'll be on their way to eBay pretty soon to fund more of my Duster build.
