Nice to see another perspective on how a quality restoration is imperative on an original numbers matching historic car. It's still all about the originality of the car = net value. unfortunately most of us can never afford the time or the money to achieve these results! thank you Brad for the article. :smokin: :cheers:

I have a LOT of respect for those who restore cars to OEM specs.  Would I do it  :grinno: but those who do... :2thumbs:

They did a Lil' Red Express pickup...Total investment for the owner with them doing the restoration was $180K... :worshippy YES...you read that right :scared:

  A few years ago at the Mopar Nats there was two restored Daytona's being judged under the OE tent. Both cars must have been done by these guys. Looking at these Daytona's it would appear that when Creative Industries repainted the cars after fitting the new aero front and rear that they would not mask but simply throw a blanket over the engine. This was very well duplicated during the restoration of these Daytona's. The windshield washer hoses, windshield washer tank, wiper motor, voltage regulator, electrical bulkhead ,horns etc. were all heavily covered in overspray. There was also the same overspray inside the trunk area.
  Interesting restorations, but not for me. :clueless:
