I have a ralley dash wire harness from a plain jane 70 Barracuda 318. Had it several years & never did much with it because it has a couple melted wires. Resently I took it 'apart' & looked it over & it was not that bad. I unraveled the tape from the alternator gauge connections to the fuseblock/firewall & all was ok, except for the ends. Now, I have used a standard dash wire harness for 'parts' & got it all back together making the wires the correct length & fit them into place. Its looks fantastic. Now, my issue is this: There is a 6-wire soldered connector about 10 inches up from the fuse black & the wires are PINK, BLACK, PURPLE and RED. There is a couple different size wires too, but thats how its made. These 6 wires are met together at this point with a small clip & they are soldered into place. This is where 2 of the wires were bad at this location. I got the clip off with no issue, but I cannot get it to solder all back together & then install the clip. Most likely this was assembled by a machine at this point, so my question is this: Has anyone done this before & what the trick to putting all back together? I know that harness is repoped, but this one is crazy nice all around. (Currently I have a BEAUTIFUL ralley dash harness for a 70 For Sale, but its NOT this one, I have 2) can anyone tell me a way to fix it???
