This Forum is Awesome
« on: November 28, 2016 - 02:05:52 PM »
I finally finished my Chally earlier this year, although we aren't ever really finished are we?  It's Sublime with 440 six pack which was dyno'ed at 450hp at the flywheel, 4 speed, Dana 60, TTI headers and exhaust, Flaming River steering box, Wilwood brakes.  It was a shell with no engine and very little rust when I bought it on ebay, originally a white 318 car with a 4 speed.  Very difficult to NOT squeak the tires from a dead stop!

I outsourced the engine rebuild and paint and body work but did the rest myself.  I'd just like to say I never could've done it without the incredible amount of information available in this forum.  I learned everything about my Chally from all of you and am very grateful.  Just this past week I was having trouble with the brake light and blinker on the passenger side when the headlights were on, and found the answer I needed with a few search words.

I'm also grateful for Jon Soullier at Roseville.  If he didn't have the parts I needed he knew where I could get them, or have them refurbished.  I've seen his name mentioned a few times in the Mopar restoration profiles in Hemmings Muscle Machines, and he deserves every bit of the credit he gets.  Roseville is a major contributor to keeping the cars we love on the road and I never would've learned about them without this forum.

So, Thank You to everyone for posting and helping me realize my dream of owning the coolest Mopar ever made, the E-body!

Thanks guys.  One of the best things about living in Texas is driving badass old cars in the winter!  Especially when the old car has no A/C!   :cooldancing:

An hour and a half away is Woodys Smokehouse. Centerville nice little ride.
Spend $70 and get a tshirt, I have a lot of those t-shirts, did the Houston to Ft Worth route for about a year.

I was at Mecum auction this year  in Houston and saw a guy with a Woodys hat and jacket, asked him if he had anything to do with Woodys Smokehouse, he said " I'm Woody". Well there you go.

I might have to try Woodies sometime... Generally when I'm in the area I hit Bone Daddies... Allot like going to Hooters but while the Eye candy is similar the food is actually good..  Where as anyone who tells you the go to Hooters for the food is lying....
