fatmat insulaton question?
« on: December 16, 2013 - 06:27:21 PM »
ive looked around on othor topics i think i will do some fatmat insulation on the floors and door panels and jute insulation on top of it. My question is with the fatmat does it smell really bad for a while? im doing this on a budget.  i assume when you put it down it will smell at first but after a bit would it probably stop? also what would you recommend on the roof that wont melt off? i wanna do it semi right if you get what im saying.

I used it in my car and there is a odor for about a week or two during hot weather. But  I have had the car on the road for four years now and no smell after the couple of weeks.
I put it on the inside of the roof, I am now installing a sunroof in the car and have the headliner back out. Non of it fell down but I won't say it stuck well either on the roof. If I were to use it again on the roof  I would use spray adhesive to help it stick.
