Advice thread- new 66 Cuda
« on: December 16, 2013 - 10:46:21 AM »
 :working:
Good morning gents! Well the project car (66 Cuda ) has been purchased (check the pics out in my newbs post)
So far I have a handful of questions-
1- Where can I get the replacement plastic sliding cover for the console automatic shifter? It covers the gap between the console and the shifter itself. Mine is broken and missing parts lol
2- Any advice on replacing the carpet in the intermediate trunk (the area between the trunk and the back seat) my car came with a new carpet kit for this, but any advice would be appreciated.
3- my car came factory with the 273 V8 (currently has a 360.... somehow the previous owner managed to keep the power steering as well!!!) Im guessing 10" drums correct? I was told that all the v8s had 10, majority of the 6's had 9".
4- Anyone have a set of 15" ralleys I can get lol. planning on doing a disc brake conversion sometime in the future and from what I read the majority require 15" rims... currently has the 14" steelies with the Plymouth hubcaps.

This car is great, had all the paperwork showing with it, motor runs like a champ (motor was installed 25 years ago from what the maintenance records show) and hasn't been molested or rust-bucketed like a lot of the classics Ive seen.
