SS springs are shorter than stock springs. Your problem probably has something to do with those very long hangers and OE springs.

Yikes, don't want to lower the rear, want a slight rake. Maybe I'll go with 1" over stock espos and stock hangers. Will these work together well?

That's exactly the set-up I have, and it does give a slight rake without shackles interfering with the valence.

Awesome, good to know. Thinking of going with the 1 1/2" over stock, I've seen pictures and like the look. Is it common practice to buy new bushings, u-bolts when changing the leafs? Anything else I'm missing?

You can only order ESPOs over the phone right? I'm in NJ so I may drive out there to save on shipping.

For what it's worth, my 1" over stock springs were too high for my tastes in the beginning, but they did settle slightly.

I went with poly bushings. If I were you I'd also look at new u-bolts and nuts.

Looking at rear shackles, any benefit in the Hotchkis stock style shackles vs the Mancini shackles? The price difference is only about $10. Also, if I went with the Mancini front hangers with the 1" lowering hole, could I potentially use this mounting location if the espos were too high for my taste?

The stock rear shackles are also available from NAPA, lot less money, or maybe RockAuto as well.

  Unless you need offset shackles I can't think of a reason to not go with stock

If I remember right ESPO also supplied the shackles along with the new U bolts and springs. One stop shopping, saved on shipping charges.

Thanks guys, spoke with Springs and Things today regarding ESPOs and the pricing is very reasonable. They do have the shackles and u-bolts as well if anyone was wondering.. Will be placing an order shortly

The shackles hit the valance when the springs go flat and longer. Those Mopar XHD stock 440 cuda springs did that after 6 months, so they were sold on Ebay.

My ESPO springs did settled, but it was very slight. As HP2 has pointed out, the problem with ESPO is that you're getting a specified arch, but you don't know that spring rates. If you're never planing to push the car in a corner it won't matter too much.
