Yeah I know you don’t sell most of your cars locally, that way it’s harder for people to come back on you. I am honestly not at all surprised that you don’t remember me, like you said in one of 5 or so PM’s you sent to me I am a kid, and I’m the kid you had to lie your butt off to buy the car from. That was after the harassing emails through craigslist and I told you I wouldn’t sell to you. I wasn’t going to say any more because I don’t like personal attacks and I was just going to let it ride as a warning to fellow members. As mentioned before, this is a tight community and I won’t let anybody here be ripped off, even if that means making an enemy. I won’t even start to attack your Christianity like you did to me, but you are right, we all do have to answer to the most high GOD.

It’s funny how your first thought was that I was John, a little background for these folks on c-c.com. there was an agreement between Scott here and a guy named John who had a deal to flip a ’70 Road Runner after scott did some work fixing it up… for a guy that restores cars for a living, I wouldn’t think an individual would have to spend upwards of $10k to fix his mistakes… brakes on backwards, the clutch would not engage due to an incorrect shift lever, seat backs on the wrong seat (the actual back of the bucket seat), hood pins drilled in the wrong spots that required the holes in the hood be welded, re drilled in the correct spot then the whole hood being repainted (luckily they were able to salvage the paint on the rest of the car after days of cutting/buffing) …who knows what the motor is like??? Hopefully it’s not as bad as the guy you ripped off in Oregon who threatened to kill and is now pursuing a lawsuit…. Moffitt and Bratton had to fix that last motor you screwed up….

I won’t even begin to mention Bill and the way you treated him after you bought a car off him giving him a sob story saying it was for your son, flipping it, then a matter of a couple weeks later rubbing it in his face how much money you made off it then having the nerve to try and buy another one of his cars.

I feel like I have wasted the last ten minutes of my life writing this up just because I won’t give you the time of day, but if it saves somebody heartache it was well worth it.

2 final thoughts. One being I know John well and you could not ask for a better friend and fellow hobbyist, and 2… anybody considering buying that superbird always advertised as numbers matching better check and triple check the numbers (I will admit this one I don’t know firsthand, it has come from more than one reliable source, consider it nothing more than rumor).

I will empty my mailbox if mopar saint, I mean mopar heaven doesn’t flood my inbox again.

Wow.

Lots of information, I sent you 2 PM and that is flooding your mail. Ok. (asking him who he was, and why he said this)

2nd. I did't paint johns car, install the hood pins, or do any of the interior. That was done by other people. The paint was under warranty and the painter was more than willing to fix any mistakes. He was never and still has never been made aware of any mistakes. He was never given any kind of a chance to fix them, if there were any. Go ahead ask John. He has never said anything to the painter or myself.

The problem here is, YOU were NEVER involved in any of these transactions. You have heard all this information 2nd or 3rd hand. Now you are recklessly accusing me of all sorts of things that you know nothing about. My father always told me that there are 3 sides to every story. His side, My side, and the Truth.

I have never been in Lawsuit, so not sure what you mean there.

You must be the kid I bought a Van off of and I paid your price and now your mad? I bought a Charger off you're Dad Too in the Past. A brown 70 RTSE. So im the bad guy?

I'm the bad guy if I buy a car, fix it up and sell it for a Profit. I thought thats what America was based on. IT'S CALLED CAPITOLISM!!!!

John is a great guy. Did he tell you that I TOLD HIM of the same problems with the Transmission. He said since it came with the car (unrestored basketcase) that I should fix it for free. Same with the rear end. That's when I stopped working on his car.  Did He tell you I had to threaten  to put a lien on the car to get paid. Did he tell you I delivered it to a 3rd party so he could inspect the car before paying me.  It's funny how you throw stones at me about John this saint of the Mopar Community and yet you know nothing of this car and the agreement we had. You know nothing about what really happened and how it all played out. Yet You judge me?

Bill sold me a car and I sold it for a profit. I must be a real jerk. How dare I.

I can prove my side of the story, I have pictures. I have 1st hand participation in all of these events. John's Car did not go the way I planned, yes. He stopped by my shop every 3 weeks to check on progress. He approved everything we did, every step of the way. He was the leader on this project. He instructed me to do things HIS way. He paid me as we finished each step and phase. When it came down to the last phase, I finished the car to his approval (with 2 witnesses that work with me) and then asked to get paid. His intentions from the beginning was to build this car to sell. He refused to pay me for the final phase and said that he would pay me when the car sold. I refused. He told me to pound sand. I then had to threaten him with a lien so he would pay me.

As to Bill, I bought a car from him that I really wanted. I wanted it for my Son. It was a 68 Dart. Nearly a YEAR later, 06 by the way, economy collapsing, I was hurting for money. A friend bought it from me. (still has it).

I met Black71 one time. I called him on the phone to buy an A100 van from him. He had it on Craigslist for sale. I called to come see it. Told him I was interested in it and was willing to pay his price. He called me back and told me that he changed his mind and was not going to sell the van. 2 weeks or 3 weeks later, the van shows up on Craigslist again for 1,000.00 more. I called again and said that I would like to come see it. He would not return my calls. So I had a friend call. We went to buy the van and his dad was there. I still have the van, building a Scooby Doo van like I said I was. Black71 has some kind of grudge for me and I don't know why. I met him 1 time when picking up the van. Never before and never after.

He is accusing my Superbird of being Fake. He has no 1st hand knowledge of anything that he is accusing me of. He has thrown all kinds of rocks at me and I don't know him.

Who's the bad guy here?

I am thankful for the people who have been kind.

ok everyone lets keep it calm.  lets refocus on to the awesome cars we all love and enjoy, and the reason why we are all here.  if any more needs to be said or inquired about, please do it privately.  I very much appreciate different opinions and experiences being made aware of so the community as a whole can benefit.  now it would be up to the individual to do their own research and due diligence in any sort of transaction.
