a/c compressor oil
« on: December 09, 2013 - 06:28:19 AM »
Hi people, can anyone tell me the correct amount of oil to add to a standard v2 a/c compressor. I am about to fit  a new one to my 70 Cuda and need to do this before I mount it. Any help greatly appreciated.

found this  "The compressor holds a little over 200cc of refrigerant oil in the case of R-12 or PAG 100 oil in the case of R134a"

Mineral oil was used for r12. The service manual says to check your oil level with a marked stick through the fill hole. I only do this before  the system is pressurized. Do not pull the plug with any pressure in it.
