options to raise clutch pedal height above floor

I would like to raise the height of the clutch pedal off the floor due to my heel hits the floor when using the clutch.
I have to hold my foot on the pedal higher than would like to.

I see options as possibly cutting the original parts to shorten and reweld, do not really want to cut original.

Are there good aftermarket that work well? Maybe a Wilwood?

Cut a hole in the floorboard so my heel clears, kidding.

How much play is there in the petal before the clutch engages?  Typically all I need to do is push the clutch in about half way before I can shift . . .

I will try as you say and see exactly the point that a smooth shift can be made without pressing all the way down to the floor.
Maybe the disengagement point is off and I just need an adjustment ,  because to actually bring the pedal all the way up, you have to hook your foot under the pedal and pull up.

Adjust the linkage so the pedal has 1" of free play at the top max & you may not need to push all the way down as 4C suggests
